Mercury (Air / Earth) Known as the winged-helmeted messenger of the Gods, probably because it takes so little time for this planet to move across the heavens.  In Roman mythology, Mercury is the god of commerce, travel and thievery, the Roman counterpart of the Greek God Hermes.  It was given two names by the Greeks: Apollo for its apparition as a morning star and Hermes as an evening star.  Gemini's see both sides to every story and they are as mercurial as their planet mercury in temperament.  Virgo, the eternal Virgin, is always on a life quest for the search of inner purity.  Both are known to live between heaven and earth, fantasy and reality. Your colors are the verdant green of the earth's forests and your metal mercury, precious metal found in the earth. Mercury takes 88 days to complete the cycle of the zodiac.
