Welcome to my gallery/studio in ETHEREAL CITY

My name is Sam Lax® and I am the Founder and CEO of the SALA-GROUP. The late Arlene Altman and I conceived the idea of creating, on the Internet, an Art Gallery to be called ETHEREAL CITY. This would be a spatial community where craftspeople & artists could display and sell their work. Alrene was a finalist of the coveted DeBeers ® Diamond Internationhal competition twice, no mean accomplishment!

In memory of Arlene (a remarkable & talented human being), I’ve decided to create a gallery of her designs, and a gallery/studio to show some of my designs and collections.

In the September 9, 1974 issue of The New Yorker magazine (page 100), I ran an ad for a limited and signed edition of my Moses Star™ an interpretation of the Star of David. This was followed by a tongue-in-cheek design of two alligators, titled “End Gator Celibacy Now!!” in the February 1983 issue of Penthouse ® magazine (page 27).

I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I have enjoyed creating them!
